Bristol Suede Produces a brushed leather suede effect when applied in a criss-cross faux method. To achieve the three dimensional suede effect, it is important to follow these steps. Step 1 Ensure the surface to be painted has been properly prepared. Follow these instructions on the back of the Bristol Suede Can. Step 2 Apply the first coat using a long nap roller. If there are areas which cannot be reached with a roller, paint these with a brush first. Allow at least 4 hours to dry before over coating. Step 3 To accomplish the suede effect, the second coat must be applied with a wide (75mm or greater) brush in random criss-cross strokes. Work in 2 or 3 square metre patches. Make sure to overlap criss-cross areas to ensure an even effect. Allow 30 minutes for the effect to appear.
